AMGSU remembers Tilak Poudel

All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) observed the 10th Martyrdom of Tilak Poudel, who lost his life in police crackdown on April 18, 2014 at Kanglatongbi during an agitation against the rape of a minor Gorkha girl.
In a release, AMGSU president LB Adhikari conveyed that as part of the observance, candles were lit and floral tributes paid to the portrait of Tilak Poudel at Kanglatongbi Mandir waiting shed.
AMGSU also extended gratitude to civil society organisations for joining the movement to ensure justice to the victim and saluted all the 26 people from Kanglatongbi and Kalapahar who suffered injuries during the sustained movement.
Kanglatongbi Gram Panchayat's Meena Bista, AMGSU advisor Krishnalal Biwswakarma, Kanglatongbi GP ex-pradhan Shiva Kumar Basnet, Roses English High School principal Mani Kumar Limbu, Froebel English School principal Gopal Limbu, family members of the Tilak Poudel, Vijaynagar Women Society representatives, AMGSU Kanglatongbi and Motbung Unit members, and other prominent figures of Kanglatongbi also attended the observance.
