RNYOM condemns killing of Radamchui by NSCN-U

Imphal, May 14 2021: Rongmei Naga Youth Organization Manipur (RNYOM) has strongly condemned the killing of Radamchui Kamei of Khumji Village, Noney by NSCN-Unification Group under the leadership of Raitu Chawang and S Kamson on May 11 at Khumji village.

In a release, RNYOM denounced the incident as purely an act of betrayal, cowardice and terrorism, creating fear psychosis to serve their vested interests of amassing personal wealth.

It is crystal clear that the NSCN-Unification faction in the Naga National Political Group's interest and demand is centred only for the Nagas living in Nagaland and they have nothing to do with the people living in other part of the country, it added.

Recalling that Raitu Chawang and S Kamson along with few individuals defected from the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) and merged to the NSCN-Unification on October 26, 2019, the release stated that their merger into the NSCN Unification of NNPGs has nothing to do with the people of Nagaland and the people of Nagaland too don't consider them for any good.

Hence, in order to regain the sympathy of the Zeliangrong people, they started recalling/reclaiming themselves as ZUF under the leadership of Raitu Chawang and S Kam-son.

But such opportunist has no place in the society.

So, they resorted to all possible anti-social activities such as forceful collection of taxes, serving threats, physical assault, firing and killing one another (brother killing brother), it contended.

Pointing out that the culture of killing has absolutely no place in the Rongmei Society, the release asserted that Rong-mei youth will never tolerate such act of killing.

"The organization will no longer be a mute spectator when our brother is killed by such terrorist in the guise of national workers", it remarked.
