Summer Camp concludes at Leimakhong

A Sunshine Summer Camp organised by Indian Army successfully concluded at its Leimakhong Military Station, offering a transformative experience for children aged 4 to 16 .
The camp provided a diverse range of activities aimed at equipping children with essential life skills and fostering their creativity.
According to a statement issued by PRO Defence, the participants embraced the spirit of adventure, camaraderie, and learning, engaging in life-skill classes on topics such as time and money management, public speaking, and cooking, which helped instil confidence and practical knowledge.
The arts and crafts sessions saw enthusiastic participation, with children showcasing their, creativity through rice art, vegetable art, calligraphy, basic stitching, handmade greetings, and slogan making.
Live demonstrations on first aid, table etiquette, and fireless cooking further contributed to the children's self-reliance and confidence.
A seven-day golf training session introduced the campers to the sport, fostering discipline and concentration.
The camp also raised awareness on socially relevant topics through movie screenings on good touch and bad touch, social dilemmas, and the environment.
Competitions in public speaking, drawing, and best out of waste were held, with winners felicitated during the closing ceremony.
The Sunshine Summer Camp created a nurturing environment where children could learn valuable skills while having fun.
During the closing ceremony, children bid farewell to their new friends, looking forward to returning next summer for more fun, learning, and adventure, the statement added.
