Governor assures to address grievances of DMU students

Imphal, July 07 2024:
Representatives of Dhanamanjuri University Students' Union (DMSU) led by its president Irom Dimocha along with six others called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Sunday evening and submitted a memorandum containing grievances and issues faced by the students in the University.
The memorandum mentioned number of issues affecting student community for years since its establishment and the same trend continuing in the University, such as absence of regular registrar and controller of examinations, the prime reason for not conducting the examination in time, consequently affecting the academic career of the students.
They also rued manpower shortage right from the top to the bottom indirectly affecting the academic calendar of the University and requested the Governor for her intervention in the best interest of the student community.
Taking serious note on the issues raised by the student representatives, the Governor assured them that she will look into their genuine grievances at the earliest by organising a meeting with authorities concerned.
