Meeyamgi Numit held in Bishnupur, Kakching districts

Bishnupur district administration led by deputy commissioner Lourembam Bikram, organised the year's first 'Meeyamgi Numit' (People's Day) on Friday at Kumbi Government High School Ground, Terakhong.
The event aims to bring various government services directly to the people of the district.
More than 700 individuals attended the event, seeking essential services from more than 33 government department stalls.
These services included the issuance of birth certificates, PM JAY cards, CMHT cards, Aadhaar enrolment, ration card quota inclusion, employment exchange registration, opening of bank accounts and enrolment in sponsorship programme for CNCP among others.

The departments that took part in the event included Labour, Social Welfare, Health, CAF&PD, NIC, MSRLM, Education, PHED, Agriculture, Horticulture and others.
Additionally, stalls of financial institutions such as Manipur State Cooperative Bank, Moirang; Punjab National Bank, Moirang; Manipur Rural Bank, Kumbi; and State Bank of India, Moirang also catered to needs of the citizens.
Besides DC Bikram and ADM Toijam Opendro, the programme was attended by AC to DC S Gunamani Singh, SDOs, BDOs, and district-level officers.
On the first day, several documents, including ration cards, CMHT cards, Jamaban -di copies, and PMJAY cards, were handed over to the public by ADM Bishnupur.
The event will continue on Saturday at the same venue.
KAKCHING: Kakching district administration on Friday organised Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) at the offices of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Kakching and Waikhong, providing essential government services to the public.
Deputy commissioner Rohit Anand and superintendent of police Thokchom Vikramjit Singh led the event at the DC Office Complex, Kakching town and the SDO, Waikhong office.
At the Kakching SDO office, 27 Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) cards and 35 birth certificates were issued, as the District Forest Office distributed 50 saplings, and Manipur State Power Development Company Limited (MSPDCL) provided 90 bulbs.
Correction of 14 Aadhaar cards was also facilitated.
Moreover, deputy commissioner Rohit Anand and SP Thokchom Vikramjit Singh distributed textbooks and sports materials to students and teachers of Kakching Wairi Junior High School.
A total of 365 people registered for services at the programme during which 26 departments extended services to the public.
As a part of the programme, the District Social Welfare Office distributed four wheelchairs, three Chief Minister Widow Pension cards, two walking sticks, four Manipur Old Age Pension cards, and four Chief.
Ministergi Shotharabasingi Tengbang cards, while the District Supply Officer (CAF&PD) facilitated renewal and modification of ration cards and addressed inquiries related to the Ujjwala scheme.
At the SDO Waikhong event, around 300 applications were received, with 19 departments setting up stalls to address public grievances.
Land Resources Department issued a total of 143 certificates, which included income, birth, death and residential certificates.
The Social Welfare Department received 138 applications, 114 for old age cards, 3 for disability cards, and 21 for widow forms, all of which were processed.
ZEO Kakching received 15 applications, all of which were resolved.
The District Agriculture Department received 40 applications, which were also resolved.
The Handloom and Textiles Department received 6 applications.
CAF & PD received 14 applications, all of which were resolved.
The Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department received 4 applications, of which, 2 were resolved.
Sugnu Municipal Council received 4 applications, all of which were resolved.
ICDS Kakching received 4 applications, which were all resolved.
The District Child Protection Unit received 1 application, which was resolved.
The Health Department received 58 applications, all of which were addressed.
Langmeidong CD Block received 17 applications, out of which, 16 were resolved.
The Veterinary Department resolved one application received.
Sub-Treasury, PHED, Forest, RD & PR and the Directorate of Craftsmen and Training departments also opened their stalls.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Rohit Anand informed that as many people faced challenges in accessing government schemes over the past 18 months, the Meeyamgi Numit initiative has been reinstated at Kakching and Waikhong SDO offices to facilitate public access to a range of government services.
He announced that Meeyamgi Numit will now be held on a monthly basis, to as to provide citizens with regular essential services.
Reaffirming his commitment to inclusivity, Rohit Anand called upon the public to support the programme, ensuring that government schemes effectively reach those in need.
The day's event was also attended by Kakching ADM Moirangthem Kapajit, SDO Kherdananda Potsangbam, Waikhong SDO Anunay Anand, DLOs, and officials of the district administration among others.
