Speaking at the event, RK Budhimanta, who is the RKCS Museum of Art and Crafts secretary and son of late RKCS, opined that outbreak of crisis tend to enhance creativity of artists, as he himself was engrossed in paintings during the COVID pandemic.
He also noted that children in the past possessed artistic talent but often lacked the opportunity to pursue their passion as the society did not value the artists.
In those times, many artists, including his father, Chandrajit Sana, hesitated to identify themselves as painters and instead adopted the name RKCS, which is now widely recognised.
On the brighter side, he said, parents in contemporary society appreciate and encourage artistic aspirations of their children.
