Death anniversary of Lunghila Elizabeth observed

Imphal, November 04 2024: The 21st death anniversary of Lungnila Elizabeth was observed at Devala multipurpose hall of Sangai bazar, Hiyangthang Takhellambam Konjil on Monday.

The observance was organised by Thoithoiba Adventure Park managing director Kh Inaoba, along with the family of Lungnila Elizabeth.

During the event, Inaoba recalled that Lungnila Elizabeth, then a class III student of Little Flower School, was kidnapped from near her school gate on November 4, 2003 and he body discovered in a highly decomposed state at Sadokpam Leikai on November 12.The kidnap and murder of the eight-year-old deeply shook the conscience of the entire Manipuri Community, Inaoba said, adding that the solemn event was arranged by her family and himself.

He expressed concern over the current chaotic situation in the state, and rift between different communities.
