Teachers' Day celebrated, fair on teaching aids held

Imphal, September 03 2022: RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya on Saturday celebrated Teachers' Day along with distribution of meritorious award at its Asha Jina Complex, North AOC complex.

Speaking on the occasion, Vidyalaya director Jina Tongbram stressed that as teachers are the guiding light of students they should exhort, and strive to cultivate and hone innate talents of the students.

While reminding the students that their parents are the first teacher in their life, she said the respect that students show to the teachers during teachers' day celebration must be carried on into the future.

As part of the celebration, simple gifts were presented to the teachers, followed by performance of an entertainment programme and distribution of awards to meritorious students of the annual exam 2021-22.On the other-hand, as a part of the post-intern activity of RK Sanatombi Devi College of Education's BEd JV Semester course 2020-22, a teaching aids exhibition was held at Asha Jina Complex on Saturday.

The exhibition was also attended by director Jina Tongbram and Vidyalaya joint director Mona Tongbram.

In his speech, RK Sanatombi College of Education BEd in-charge Yumnam Surjit said that teaching aid exhibition was held to showcase the teaching aids used by the trainee teachers in schools as part of their teaching practice.

He then emphasised the importance of teaching aids in classrooms, adding that not only they help the students understand better but also motivate them.

He also explained about making teaching aids with use of low-cost materials.
