Jeetendra Ningomba honoured with Indian Icon Award

Committee of Civil Societies, Kangleipak (CCSK) president Jeetendra Ningomba has been honoured with the Presidential Humanitarian Award at the Indian Icon Awards (IIA) 2024.The award, presented by Kiteskraft Production, recognises individuals from various platforms across the country for their exceptional social contributions.
According to a statement of CCSK, the announcement for the award was made during the 3rd edition of the IIA held on Saturday.
Jeetendra Ningomba's recognition comes as a result of his significant role as the coordinator of the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI).
He has been at the forefront of the social movement against Kuki narco-terrorists since last year, leading several civil society organisations (CSOs) in these efforts.
He has dedicated years to working on social issues affecting Manipur, emphasising unity and integrity.
His leadership has been instrumental in providing assistance to affected communities and raising public awareness about critical social issues in the state.
In addition to Jeetendra Ningomba, two other individuals from the state were also recognised at the Indian Icon Awards.
The state nodal officer for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (RD&PR) Khumukcham Ibochouba received the Leadership Award in Innovation and Public Relations.
Meanwhile, Oinam Thoiba Singh of One Vision Manipur was honoured with the Presidential Award for Social Welfare.
The Indian Icon Awards celebrate the contributions of individuals who have made significant impacts in their respective fields, and this year's recipients from the state exemplify dedication and commitment to social welfare and community development.
