Writers honoured on foundation day

Imphal, March 02 2025: Khorirolgi Ayiba Ayibisingi Paosanapham, Singjamei Chirom Leikai observed its fifth foundation day at Manipur Press Club here Sunday with social activist Oinam Romen Singh as chief guest, Paosanapham president MK Illawaran as president, and Standard College, Kongba librarian Dr Inaobi Huirem and critic/translator Laishram Memo Singh as guests of honour.

During the programme, prizes were distributed to select writers with the Khorirolgi Ayiba Ayibisingi Paosanapham Award 2023 presented to Okram Binatombi Devi, Award for 2024 to Thongam Kumudini and for the 2025 edition to Doneshwar Konsam.

"Ngalhanningdraba Ahing", a book penned by Thounaojam Ketuki was also released on the occasion.

MU research scholar Ningombam Nando Singh shared his thoughts on the book.
