'Made in Senapati' products launched

Senapati, March 02 2023: Various products under 'Made in Senapati' brand including EZ Barrak green tea, Rose Stop Pastry, The Hills Candy, Daipa SHG Handloom, Lungsa SHG Pickle, Constance Jewellery and Chalai s Florist were officially launched during the District Skill Mela held in Senapati district on Thursday.

Briefing media persons, The Entrepreneurs Associates (tEA) branch head and project associate R Ledziisa Soto stated that the NGO was formed in the year 2000 by first-generation entrepreneurs with a vision to promote entrepreneurship in a region where business and entrepreneurship was looked down upon.

It is committed to developing and nurturing entrepreneurial aspirations and sustainable livelihood of individuals and communities in the North East, she added.

Ledziisa further mentioned that she was happy to officially launch some women products 'Made in Senapati' at the District Skill Mela in Senapati.

tEA provides various business management skills training, financial and digital literacy.

The items launched are the products made by women of the region after attaining the trainings, she informed.

Ledziisa also conveyed that its other projects include 'Trees for Wealth' where they reach out to the farmers of various villages and hand out free saplings as well as raise awareness on their importance to the environment.

Another project, 'Uplifting women street vendors' works with the women street vendors regarding their legal rights and health, she mentioned.
