Imphal, August 29 2026: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has condoled and paid revolutionary salute to its chief secretary Nguiba alias Dingtiplung Gonmei, who was killed on August 28 at Puichi village in Noney district.

Nguiba Was the son of Thangpuijei Gonmei of Soubunglong village.

He was killed by the Jenchui group during a volleyball match organised by the Puichi Youth Club in connection with the 95th Martyrdom Day of Haipou Jadonang, said the ZUF in a statement.

"Nguiba was a brilliant, courageous and deeply committed leader who dedicated his life to the organisation and to the cause, dignity, unity and future of the Zeliangrongpui people.

His unwavering commitment, courage and sacrifice shall remain permanently etched in the collective memory and history of our people," said the ZUF .
