Orientation programme on MSME held

A day-long interaction cum orientation programme MSME was organised by MSME Promotion Council of India (MSME-PCI) at the Sangai Hall of Hotel Imphal, North AOC on Thursday.
Speaking at the programme as chief guest, MSME-PCI national chairman Pradeep Mishra Sarkar noted that 90 percent of the welfare schemes implemented by the government of India remains unknown to the public.
While assuring that the MSME Promotion Council of India will work to ensure all government benefit schemes are effectively communicated and made accessible to the public, the chairman said despite its small size, Manipur plays a significant role in the MSME sector.
However, many people are unaware of the benefits provided by banks through MSME initiatives in the state.
The MSME Promotion Council of India (MSME PCI) is committed to assisting the public, fostering entrepreneurship and contributing to the development of the country.
An Industry Business Meet will be organised soon, he confided that called upon parties arid entrepreneurs concerned to participate in the meet.
Presided over by MSME Promotion Council Manipur state chairman Dr Romeo Thono Paokhoma, the function was also attended by Punjab National Bank deputy circle head Kundan Kumar, CR&NPA State Bank of India chief manager Pritameshwor Samom, MSME PCI Operation & Planning deputy vice chairman Swaraj Rai, MSME PCI deputy vice ehairman PR Mamta Biswa and MSME PCI Manipur and Nagaland in-charge Temuidou Makunga as guests of honour, besides representatives of SBI, Punjab National Bank, Bank of India, Manipur Rural Bank, Axis Bank and others.
