MLA surveys DSA ground for development

Kakching, January 19 2025: Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar along with officials on Sunday surveyed the District Sports Association (DSA), Kakching football ground for development of the same under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) 2023-2024.The MLA was accompanied by Manipur.

Police Housing Corporation executive engineer L Munindro, junior engineer Th Rojit, DSA president Kshetrimayum Ibobi, vice president Dr Thokchom Ojit and general secretary Moirangthem Nilo, among others.

Under the SASCI fund, the ground will be developed with natural grass and construction of an RCC gallery, brick peripheral drain with RCC slab cover, football field with sub-surface drainage, pop up irrigation system, etc.

Speaking to media persons, MLA Rameshwar thanked chief minister N Biren and YAS minister Govindas Konthoujam for including Kakching district in the plan for development of sports infrastructure in districts.

He also expressed his gratitude to CM for taking up various developmental works for the Kakching assembly constituency including construction of district hospital, Ima Keithel at Pallel and inclusion of two schools from Kakching under School Phagat-hanshi Mission.

Later, the MLA along with Minor Irrigation Department, Thoubal Sub Division assistant engineer Michael Moirangthem and Working Committee on Rejuvenation of Irum Turel, Kakching members inspected the work for cleansing of Irum river by the Committee.

He also checked the road repair work at Kakching Makha Leikai Moibungkhongba Pareng.
