SAHS conducts mega health camp

Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), Langol on Sunday organised a mega health camp at Awang Potsangbam Khullen in collaboration with Social Development Association.
Academy director Dr M Amuba Singh inaugurated the camp, which was held as part of the medical institute's expansion of its Family Adoption Programme.
According to a press release issued by Shija Hospitals & Research Institute, the Department of Community Medicine with its dedicated team of faculties and staff led the medical camp supported by other faculties and specialists from various departments.
The camp was participated by 150 students from the second batch (2022-2023) of SAHS, with 400 attendees getting medical check-ups and consultations.
The camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the community, emphasising the importance of health awareness and early diagnosis.
The event included not only medical consultations but also health-related talks, with specialists attending to patients across various disciplines, including general medicine, general surgery; orthopaedics, paediatrics, ENT, eye, psychiatry, obstetrics & gynaecology, and dentistry.
Medicines were distributed to those in need, it added.
