Governor, speaker, MLA extend Good Friday greetings

Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Th Satyabrata Singh and MLA Y Khemchand have wished the people of Manipur, especially the Christian brethren, a peaceful and blessed Good Friday.
Governor Ajay extended heartfelt regards to the people of Manipur, especially to Christian brethren, on the solemn occasion of Good Friday.
In his message, the Governor said that Good Friday stands as a symbol of Lord Jesus Christ's ultimate sacrifice for humanity, a testament to his unwavering love, compassion, and selflessness.
"On this sacred day, let us renew our dedication to the principles that Lord Jesus Christ championed - peace, unity, and compassion for all, so that we may create a world devoid of hardship and inequity", he added.
The governor further wished everyone in Manipur a blessed Good Friday and a joyous Easter.
Meanwhile, Speaker Satyabrata said in his message: "As we observe Good Friday, let us take a moment to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, a sacrifice made out of love, faith, and redemption.
In these uncertain times, may His message of compassion and forgiveness guide us toward healing and unity" .
The speaker also wished that the auspicious occasion fill 'our hearts with peace, strengthen the unity within our communities, and inspire hope for brighter days to come'.
Singjamei MLA Yumnam Khemchand also expressed homage and offered prayers on the occasion of Good Friday.
In his message, Khemchand said that Good Friday marks the day on which Lord Jesus was crucified.
"On this day let us recall the highest teaching of Lord Jesus to follow the path of forgiveness in the name of humanity among mankind and work towards bringing lasting peace among different communities living in Manipur," he said.
