Imphal, February 14 2025: Assam Rifles organised "A Day with the Company Commander" on Friday at the Sangaikot Company Operating Base in Sangaikot sub-division, Churachandpur district which was participated by around 50 students and teachers of Community School, Sangaikot.

According to a PRO IGAR (S) press release, the day involved various engaging and fun-filled activities a display of weapons used by Assam Rifles, wherein students were introduced to various automatic weapons and mortars, giving them an understanding of military equipment and its prowess.

The students also were provided a guided tour of the camp, where they gained insights into the daily routine, lifestyle, accommodation and dining facilities of the soldiers.

As part of the interactive session, students participated in a motivational lecture which inspired them to consider a career in the Indian Armed Forces, said the PRO, adding that the students also engaged in sports and recreational activities showcasing teamwork and camaraderie.

Additionally, Assam Rifles gifted notebooks, pencils and sports equipment like volleyballs and footballs to the students, it said.
