BJP Lamlai Mandal condemns violence

Imphal, October 13 2021: Pointing out that it has been conducting booth level meetings as part of the activities of BJP across the nation, BJP Lamlai Mandal has strongly condemned the acts of violence perpetrated against the mandal's peaceful and democratic activities.

BJP Lamlai Mandal president N Irabot, secretary organisation Y Achou-ba, general secretary administration Nongthombam Bosan and secretary LC Achanba jointly released a video clip in this regard on Wednesday.

In the video clip, LC Achanba recalled that a meeting was convened on Tuesday at the residence of S Itocha, which also serves as the office of BJP Lamlai Mandal.

Unfortunately, workers of intending candidate Achoibam Deben pelted stones at the meeting place damaging several properties.

Informing that a complaint was submitted to Lamlai Police Station demanding arrest of 17 persons involved in stone pelting, Achanba lauded the state police for arresting four of the miscreants without delay and further demanded that the remaining perpetrators be booked.

Reacting to the allegations of possessing fire arms levelled against BJP Lamlai Mandal on mass media, Achanba cautioned of taking up legal actions if they fail to clarify within 24 hours.
