Landlords under Hatta union's scanner

Recalling raids carried out by volunteers of Minuthong Hatta Golapati Athletic Union (MHGAU) on June 20 and by Arambai Tenggol Unit 19 on June 29 at beauty parlour, saloon and spa at Hatta Golapati Mana Ingkhol and found men and women in questionable situation, the Union declared that they will scrutinise landlords who lease out quarters/rooms in Hatta Golapati area.
In a release, secretary Md Suraj Khan recounted that acting on a tip-off MHGAU raided the said beauty parlour, saloon and spas on June 20 and found 10 people including women in suspicious manner due to which the landlords were advised to shut the beauty parlour, saloon and spas.
AT Unit 19 also raided some beauty parlours, saloons and spas on June 29 and found 15 men and women in inappropriate way and consequently 'disciplined', he stated, while assuring to support the AT unit.
Suraj further said that the union will fully extend all possible help to anti-drug drives and campaigns initiated by concerned stakeholders.
Holding lackadaisical attitude of the landlords for the reprehensible conduct of both clients and operators of the beauty parlours, the secretary cautioned landowners of Hatta Golapati to ensure that no socially offensive activities are conducted in shops and rents leased to others.
