DP Sports complex inaugurated in Senapati

Senapati, May 03 2025: DP Sports Complex situated at Emesiiphro, here, was on Saturday inaugurated by ADC, Senapati ex-chairman A Kapani as the chief guest and Senapati District Badminton Association president Heshu Choro as the guest of honour.

Inaugurating the facility, A Kapani stated that installation of such sports infrastructure represents significant development for the society.

He urged all to grab this opportunity to maintain their health and also to get themselves trained in football.

In his speech, Heshu Choro lauded the proprietor for bringing such facilities to the district with an aim to give importance on health and train the youth in football.

In the past, parents restricted their children from playing without realising its importance.

Today, parents are more inclined to bring their children to playfields, encouraging them to learn the art of sports.

Renowned athletes can now earn a lot of rewards, while also bringing laurels to one s native place and the state, he noted.

Heshu also mentioned that Senapati district is witnessing the emergence of talented players in different games including football, volleyball, badminton, wrestling, etc., expressing hope that the district players will compete in the national and international levels.

Ex-MLA Dr V Alexander urged the gathering to make the best use of the mini turf ground in order to enhance their health and develop their skills in the field.

Emesiiphro village headman Kashipri blessed the sports complex, wishing that the facility would benefit all who use the mini turf ground.

DP Sports Complex proprietor Daikho Piku stated that the centre was established to improve physical fitness and train the youth in order to produce skilled players in the region.

An exhibition match was also played between Emesiiphro Village Authority and Mao Taphou VA .
