Kakching, July 26 2021: Community Health Centre (CHC), Wangoo Laipham MO in charge Dr Leishangthem Inaocha has claimed that medical team of the CHC has managed to vaccinate first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to 85 percent of people living within its operational jurisdiction.

He said that medical team of the CHC has so far conducted 11 mass vaccination programmes at different places and these programmes were organised as part of local MLA K Ranjit's initiative to vaccinate entire people of Sungu AC.

The CHC has given COVID-19 first dose vaccine to around 8,500 people, he said and appealed to those who are yet to get first dose and eligible for second dose to get COVID-19 vaccine at the CHC premises while reminding that vaccination is the only way to prevent the disease.

According to Dr Inaocha, Hospital Management Committee executive member Thoudam Dhamen has been taking immense responsibility ever since the CHC started taking up COVID-19 related activities.
