KSA lifts ban on college admission process

Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has lifted the restriction imposed on admission process to undergraduate courses in colleges under Manipur University after an understanding/ agreement with the Higher Education director and additional director.
In a release, secretary general Sanjoy Khulakpam said KSA halted admission process as it caused inconveniences to students, who had to pay separate fees for two forms and prospectus if they opt two subjects in a college.
In this regard, members of the Association met the Higher Education director and additional director on May 20 and impressed upon the officials to reduce the form charge and allow students to have only one prospectus considering the financial constraints everyone is facing in this trying time.
Following peaceful resolution of the matter and implementation of the same by the college principals, the restriction imposed against the admission process has been lifted, he explained.
During the meeting, KSA urged for extending the Chief Minister's College Rehabilitation Scheme to the undergraduate students in the current academic session as well, Sanjoy confided, while lauding the Directorate of Higher Education for assuring to uphold the proposal.
