ICAR-KVK Imphal West meet focuses on 2025 Action Plan

Imphal, January 22 2025:
The 45th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting of ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Imphal West was held at the conference hall of Loktak Farmers' Training Hostel, ICAR Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat, Imphal on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on deliberating the Action Plan for 2025 and reviewing the achievements of 2024 .
Informing this, a press statement of the institute said that the event began with the registration of participants.
Prominent attendees included Imphal West ADC Samson Huidrom, ATARI Zone VII, Umiam, principal scientist Dr AK Singha; ICAR-KVK Imphal West nodal officer Dr S Basanta; and head of Regional Centre, ICAR Manipur Centre, Dr Ramgopal Laha.
Presentations on the Action Plan for 2025 and the Annual Report for 2024 were delivered by KVK experts.
ICAR-KVK Imphal West senior scientist-cum-head, Dr Laishram Kanta outlined the overall strategy for the upcoming year, while Subject Matter Specialists (SMSs) in Agronomy, Dr Ch Roben and Dr Lydia Zimik provided insights on key activities and outcomes.
Contributions were also made by SMS (plant breeding) Salam Gunamani, and SMS (agricultural economics/extension) Dr Th MotilaL.
The meeting, attended by 50 participants, including scientists, progressive farmers, representatives from line departments, and ICAR staff, emphasised enhancing agricultural productivity and farmer welfare in the district through innovative practices and collaborative efforts, the statement added.
