SBI, KMC conduct cleanliness drive

Kakching, September 19 2024:
As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024, State Bank of India, Kakching branch organised a cleanliness drive in and around the branch office at Kakching Chumnang Leikai on Wednesday.
The cleanliness drive held under the theme 'Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata' was attended by SBI Kakching chief manager Rupachandra Thoudam, LDM, Kakching Ahum-shang Altias, chief associate Ningthoujam Budhachandra, deputy manager Kshetrimayum Henry and other staff of the branch.
Kakching Municipal Council (KMC) also organised a cleanliness cum tree planting programme on Thursday in and around Salam Project Pukhri Achouba, located in Kakching Ward No 3 as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 initiative.
The programme organised in association with Salam Project Pukhri Achouba Committee and Kakching Town Club, was participated by KMC caretaker chairperson Naorem Sanjitkumar, caretaker vice chairperson Kshetrimayum Jhalajit and caretaker councillors as well as sanitary workers, staff and members of the local committees and Town Club.
The two-week campaign to be held under the theme 'Swabhav Swachhata Sanskaar Swachhata' till October 2 will include cleanliness drives and tree planting activities in areas under the jurisdiction of KMC Kakching Municipal Council in collaboration with street vendors, shopkeepers, mobile street food vendors and local business associations.
Health check-up camps for sanitary workers will also be conducted as a part of the campaign while 'PPE kits, safety gear and government scheme cards will be distributed to the Safai Mitra on the final day.
