IIIT Manipur shines at 'Vision for Vikshit Bharat 2024' in Gurgaon

Students and faculty from IIIT, Manipur participated in the three-day Vision for Vikshit Bharat (VIVIBHA) 2024' conclave organised by Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal at SGT University, Gurgaon from November 15 .
Inaugurated by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in the presence of ISRO chairman S Somanath; the event featured over 145 organisations, including IITs, ISRO, DRDO, and others, drawing approximately 20,000 visitors.
During the event, Mohan Bhagwat interacted with IIIT Manipur director Prof Krishnan Baskar and students as Prof Baskar highlighted the institution's growth since February 2022, with revenue increasing from Rs 3.2 crore to Rs 18 crore, student strength rising from 208 to 757, and female enrolment jumping from three to 98 .
He also emphasised IIIT Manipur's focus on becoming a premier institution for the Northeast.
The new campus, spread over 150 acres at Myangkhang, is set for inauguration in June 2025 with Rs 170 crore infrastructure investment.
IIIT Manipur offers fully-funded scholarships, collateral-free loans, and SC/ST scholarships, with graduates securing top packages of up to Rs 48 lakh annually.
The institution currently offers four BTech programs and admits students through JEE-based JoSAA counselling, informed a statement issued by the institution.
