Traffic advisory issued for Jun 18 observance

Imphal, June 17 2025:
In view of the observance of The Great June 18 Uprising/Unity Day at Kekrupat on Wednesday, Traffic Control Police, Imphal West has issued traffic regulation, diversion and parking arrangement to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.
The traffic restrictions will be in place from 5 am till the function is over, with the exception of emergency service vehicles.
All employees of offices and schools located within the sensitised area will be allowed to cross designated cut-points upon confirmation of their identity, and are advised to carry their valid identity cards.
Vehicles coming from Thoubal side will be diverted from Singjamei Bazar, Mayang Imphal side at Khagempalli crossing, Tiddim side from Kwakeithel, Sagolband road to park near Jiri Parking area, from Uripok-Kangchup road park near JAS Petrol Pump, Uripok or Cosmo Dental Clinic area, from Sekmai diverted at Khongnang Ani Karak, Pangei side park in front of Lamlong High School, Ukhrul and Sawombung side to park at the northern side of Lamlong Bazar, from Tinsid Road at the northern side of Tinsid Road at Lamlong Bazar, and from Yairipok and Andro sides to park at Andro parking Palace Gate.
For vehicles and buses carrying people to attend the function, only those coming via Minuthong and Khuman Lampak side will be allowed entry to Kekrupat.
No vehicle, except earmarked ones, will be allowed to approach Kekrupat via Keishampat.
A one-way traffic system will be enforced along the Loklaobung Bridge and Thumbuthong Bridge.
Vehicles coming from Thoubal side carrying people to the function will be diverted towards Singjamei Bridge.
The dropping area will be Hafiz Hatta Road, and parking will be arranged near Palace Compound Ground.
Those from Mayang Imphal side will be diverted from Pishumthong to Singjamei traffic point, with Hafiz Hatta Road as the dropping area and Palace Compound Ground as the parking location.
Vehicles from Tiddim side will be diverted from Keishampat junction towards Mayai Lambi, with Hafiz Hatta Road as the dropping area and parking around the main stadium, Khuman Lampak.
Vehicles from New Cachar Road will be diverted at Maharani Bridge towards Wahengbam Leikai, with Hafiz Hatta Road as the dropping area and Khuman Lampak stadium vicinity as the parking zone.
Similarly, vehicles from Uripok-Kangchup road will be diverted at Maharani Bridge towards Wahengbam Leikai, with Hafiz Hatta Road as the dropping point and parking near the main stadium.
Vehicles from Sekmai side will enter the stadium complex via Dingku Road, drop passengers near the stadium, and exit via Pandon Road.
Parking will be around the main stadium.
Vehicles from Pangei side will be diverted at Lamlong Bazar towards Minuthong.
The dropping point will be Minuthong and parking will be arranged near Hafiz Hatta.
Vehicles from Ukhrul and Sawombung side will proceed to Minuthong via Lamlong Bazar, with Minuthong as the dropping area and Lamlong Bazar as the parking area.
Vehicles from Tinsid Road will be diverted from Lamlong Bazar towards Minuthong, with Minuthong as the dropping area and Tinsid Road as the parking location.
Vehicles from Yairipok and Andro side will also proceed to Minuthong, with dropping at Minuthong and parking near Hafiz Hatta.
Vehicles ferrying the families of the 18 victims will be allowed to cross Khoyathong LIC crossing towards North AOC.
Their dropping point will be at North AOC Traffic Junction, and parking in front of RK Sanatombi School, North AOC .
