Imphal, August 16 2026: Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh on Saturday inaugurated a newly constructed Meira Shang for Yaipha Ningol Lup at Bijoy Govinda Mamang Leikai.

Corporator of Ward No 7, RK Jiten Singh, was also present during the function.

The inauguration was aimed at providing women of the area with a dedicated space to gather, hold activities and work for community welfare and development Speaking on the occasion, RK Imo Singh said women have always played a vital role in Manipuri society.

"Meira Paibis and Imas have remained at the forefront, shouldering responsibilities and working tirelessly to build a united, cultured and progressive society.

I feel blessed to work for the betterment and welfare of women in Sagolband", he said.

The president of Yaipha Ningol Lup expressed gratitude to the MLA for his support in providing the Meira Shang.

The Lup also appreciated his continued efforts for women and community initiatives, and extended best wishes for his future electoral success.
