One held for ILP pass violation

Imphal, August 16 2024: The Inner Line Permit (ILP) mobile team of Imphal West apprehended a non-Manipur who had no valid ILP card, from Masjid Road, Paona Bazar on Wednesday.

The non-Manipur has been identified as Ashok Kumar Gupta (44) s/o Shiv Govind Prasad of Bhojpur, Bihar.

According to a police report, the team conducted an ILP drive in Masjid Road area around 12.10 pm Wednesday.

During the drive, Ashok Kumar was found residing in Masjid road without possessing an ILP card.

He was arrested immediately and handed over to City PS.

Later, the PS produced him before the Duty Magistrate of Imphal West, which ordered him to pay a fine of Rs 2000 and instructed him not to repeat the act in the future.
