Assam Rifles to organise blood donation and free medical camp in Thoubal

Imphal, June 15 2026: In observance of World Blood Donor Day 2026, Assam Rifles will organise a voluntary blood donation camp along with a free medical camp at the Assam Rifles Unit Hospital in Phundrei, Thoubal district, on June 17 .

The humanitarian initiative, themed "One Drop of Humanity, Give Blood, Save Lives," will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am.

According to IGAR (South), the programme is being organised jointly with the Lions Club Thoubal Greater Centurion and the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Manipur (Thoubal District Branch) .

The event is being conducted in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, Imphal and supported by the State Blood Transfusion Council, Manipur.

Several prominent civil dignitaries, including Dr AK Brogen Singh, L Sanatombi Devi, Y Guneshwari Devi, Dr Jotin Okram, and L Pratap Singh, are expected to attend the programme and lend support to the cause.

Alongside the blood donation drive, a comprehensive medical camp will be organised to provide free healthcare services and medical assistance to local residents.

IGAR (S) stated that the initiative aims to reinforce the local healthcare framework, address emergency medical needs, and foster deep community solidarity.
