Sainik School concludes Combined Annual Training

Sainik School, Imphal successfully concluded the week-long Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) on Thursday.
A total of 233 cadets from Class IX to XI participated in the camp conducted under Sainik School Imphal, Principal, Col Rajiv A.The closing ceremony held at the Sainik School, Imphal was graced by IGP IK Muivah as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, IK Muivah said that Sainik represents one of the best schools in the State, and the public regards its students as highly smart and disciplined.
He encouraged the students to be disciplined and hardworking to achieve success in life.
"There is a lot of lawlessness in society where there is not much regard for rules.
However, just like traffic rules are for the convenience of all, laws exist for the welfare of all.
Without rules, even a football world cup would have no meaning", he added.
The IGP also asserted that a progressive society is law-abiding, focuses on education, and is busy in commercial activities.
Furthermore, IK Muivah advised the students to make extra efforts as they would become future leaders of the Nation.
During the function, the award for Best Firer Senior Division was presented to SGT Laishangbam Konirsan; Best Firer Junior Division to cadet Waikhom Tomthinganba and Cader Kshetrimayum Amitra; and Best Cadet CATC-150 was given to Kakchingtabam Monarch Sharma.
The award for Best Line Layout was presented to No-1 Platoon (Netaji House) .
The 1st prize for Dhava Competition was conferred to SGT Laishangbam Konirsan and the 2nd prize was given to Lance Cpl Memota.
Performance by Badlu Ram Ka Badan Team was the other highlight of the event.
