Imphal, January 13 2026: Writers' Forum, Imphal (WFI) presented the 7th Khundongbam Brojendro Memorial Award to renowned theatre critic Budha Chingtham today at Loktak Hall of Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, Imphal.

The award presentation ceremony was accompanied by the delivery of "Khundongbam Brojendro Memorial Lecture".

The event was graced by Longjam Joychandra, president, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad and vice-chairman, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipuri Dance Academy and Keisham Priyokumar, president, WFI as the chief guest and president respectively.

The triennial award (presented after three year intervals) comes with Rs 30,000 cash prize and a memento.

The memorial award is sponsored by the family of Late Khundongbam Brojendro.

The memorial lecture was chaired by noted writer Lamabam Gojendro.

Dr Nameikapam Nandini delivered a lecture on "Decline of humanity as depicted in the dramas of Khundongbam Brojendro" .
