AICC censured Atul Patil's remark on Manipur: MPCC

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has been informed that All India Congress Committee (AICC) has condemned party's Maharashtra leader Atul Londhe Patil's recent statement regarding the Manipur issue, which went viral on social media.
Stating that AICC described his remarks as incomplete and lacking in research, MPCC working president Kh Devabrata told media persons at Congress Bhawan, here, on Friday that the MPCC president filed a complaint with the AICC, urging action against Atul Londhe Patil, who is the general secretary of Indian National Congress, Maharashtra unit, after Patil's remarks on the Manipur issue during a discussion programme broadcast by ABP channel on July 8 .
In response, AICC condemned Lodhe's statement, describing it as incomplete and lacking proper research.
MPCC president also spoke with Patil, who admitted to his mistake and subsequently posted a video on social media, expressing regret for his comments.
Devabrata also stated that Atul Londhe Patil has never visited Manipur and did not consult with MPCC representatives regarding the issue.
Lacking knowledge about the situation in Manipur, his comments were not representative of MPCC.
So, it will not take responsibility for any legal proceedings initiated against him.
Additionally, it has been reported that he is no longer the national spokesperson of the Congress, Devabrata said.
