Free Medical Camp held

Imphal, April 07 2021:
44 Assam Rifles under 22 Sector AR/IGAR (E) organised a free medical checkup and wellness camp at Dialong village of Tamenglong district for the medical needs of the local people.
The camp widely aimed to provide free medical assistance to senior citizens who are not able to visit doctors in the town due to various physical and health condition.
The battalion along with its medical team reached out to the locals for addressing their medical problems and provide health services.
In it's endeavour to reach out to people on World Health Day.
the doctors were assisted by the unit female Paramedic Staff too.
The camp provided free health check up, primary medical consultation, advance prescription and medicines.
Apart from providing medical attention, basic knowledge on health education, hygiene and sanitation, first aid was also imparted.
To promote awareness regarding COVID 19, battalion employed a novel way of announcing hygiene practices against corona virus by using quadcopter, which attracted lot of attention.
A COVID awareness stall with posters and pamphlets was also established at the site.
A total of 200 adults were given the medical aid and advice.
The villagers were investigated for the skin infection, fever, cough and cold.
First aid and minor dressing were also provided to the needy people.
