Awareness held on job opportunities in Japan

An awareness cum interaction programme on job opportunities in Japan in hotel management, hospitality and healthcare sectors through National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) International under the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was held at the auditorium of Library and Information Centre, Kakching, Kakching Phoushupat Leikai on Saturday.
The programme jointly organised by NSDC International arid Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) was attended by MSRLM director Nongmaithem Bandana Devi, NSDC International manager Sunny Kumar, NSDC state engagement officer Masotmi Zimik as dais members.
Speaking as resource persons, the dais members also answered the queries of the attendees.
Addressing the function, MSLRM director N Bandana pointed out that central government had signed an MoU with Government of Japan in 2021 to provide jobs to Indian youth in Japan, especially in the sectors of hotel management, hospitality and healthcare.
She continued that Japan is very keen to employ Indian youth in the said sectors due to presence of large number of elderlies and burgeoning tourism sector.
Many companies empanelled under Government of Japan have lakhs of vacant posts with numerous Indians securing jobs in these companies.
Japanese people have special affinity for people from North East India, Manipur in particular due to similarity in physical features, food habit, etc., Bandana noted.
She also mentioned that the starting salary is Rs 1 lakh per month for people who get employment in Japan through NSDC International, out of which one can saVe Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000 after expenditure on food and lodging.
Bandana further informed that NSDC International provides nine months training in Japanese language and other related fields at Greater Noida for intending job seekers in Japan, while adding that the trainees can also avail bank loan for the training.
She also assured that there is zero possibility of fraud as NSDC International will not only facilitate employment but will also look after the welfare of Indians after they get employed.
Hence, people who have undergone courses in hotel management, hospitality and healthcare sectors should take this opportunity, Bandana encouraged.
