Chandel, March 06 2025:
Maha Area Chiefs' Association (MACA), Chandel conducted an inspection of different government offices in the district on Thursday and found staff absent in some departments.

Addressing media persons after the inspection, MACA chairman Angam Anal stated that the inspection revealed significant issues of many government offices, while noting that staff of several departments were found absent from duty.
Raising concerns over the scenario, he said that the District Hospital lacks essential medicine, and specialists in the blood bank.
The fire station office building is also in poor shape and requires repairs, with provision of only one vehicle at the fire station exacerbating the situation.
Additionally, no staff were found at the Chandel DIC office, while DSO of CAF & PD was absent, and the office locked.
He also pointed out that the Employment Exchange office was without staff, though some contract staff were present.
Angam Anal urged authorities concerned to address these issues and take necessary actions.
Pointing out that there is a severe water shortage in the district, he called on the authorities to ensure that the residents of Chandel receive adequate drinking water.
He also informed that the inspection will be conducted twice a month.
MACA will not remain silent regarding government staff who neglect their responsibilities and fail to consider the needs of the people of Chandel by remaining absent.
Any consequences resulting from their actions will be their sole responsibility, he warned.
