Imphal, August 05 2026: The Coordinating Committee on Disturbance Free Educational Zone Demand on Wednesday held an awareness campaign at Regular English School, Kwakeithel, as part of its month-long "Disturbance Free Educational Zone Demand" campaign.

Students were made aware of the demand for a disturbance-free education zone.

Later, they staged a protest outside the school gate, raising slogans in support of the demand.

The Committee said education plays a vital role in building a progressive society.

It expressed concern that due to bandhs and general strikes called by some groups, many schools in the state failed to open fully today, which it termed unfortunate.

The campaign aims to ensure uninterrupted education in the State.
