NSS Special Camp wraps up at MU

The 7-Day NSS Special Camp, 2026, jointly organised by NSS Units I, II, III, and IV of Manipur University concluded on Sunday at the university auditorium.
Held from July 27 to August 2 under the theme "Youth for Unity and Development", the camp saw participation of over 100 NSS volunteers.
The camp was inaugurated on July 27 by Prof Ch Ibohal Singh, Dean of Students' Welfare.
Over seven days, volunteers took part in yoga sessions, health awareness lectures, career counselling, first-aid training with the Indian Red Cross Society, and literary and cultural competitions.
Community outreach was held at Langthabal Kunja Makha Leikai, where volunteers conducted a cleanliness drive and collected single-use plastics.
A voluntary blood donation camp was organised with Babina MultiSpeciality Hospital, and a tree plantation drive was held under "Plant a Tree in the Name of Parent".
At the valedictory function, NSS Cell Programme Coordinator Prof L Santosh Singh lauded the volunteers' discipline and commitment.
Participants took the "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat" pledge.
Certificates were distributed to volunteers and competition winners.
