Two including a teacher arrested in paper leak case

Imphal, March 01 2025: Days after Social Science question paper for HSLCE conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) was reported, police have arrested two persons.

The two prime suspects have been identified as Samadram Meghachandra Singh (46), a Social Science teacher at Little Star English Higher Secondary School, Haokha and Yumnam Ranjit Singh (46), vice president of the same school.

The two persons are residents of Haokha Mamang Leikai, Thoubal district.

They were arrested by the police today.

On February 25, Social Science question paper was leaked and shared on WhatsApp before the examination.

The Controller of Examination of BOSEM had then filed a complaint with the cyber crime police for investigation.

With their arrests today, police have recovered incriminating items including mobile phones from their possession.

Further investigation is on, said the police.
