Ukhrul, August 31 2026: Assam Rifles conducted a security interaction meeting with village leadership and community representatives at the Shangshak Village Community Hall in Ukhrul district yesterday.

The meeting brought together Assam Rifles officials, the headman of Shangshak village, civil society organisation (CSO) members and 20 village representatives and residents.

The interaction provided a constructive platform for open dialogue on the prevailing local situation, community security and welfare.

Discussions focused on maintaining peace and harmony, enhancing security coordination and strengthening collaboration between village authorities and security forces.

Participants highlighted the necessity of timely information sharing, responsible community participation and proactive measures to prevent misunderstandings and sustain a stable environment Demonstrating traditional hospitality and mutual respect, village representatives welcomed Assam Rifles personnel with a traditional Naga shawl, following which the officials felicitated attendees with an Assam Rifles memento and gifts, said AR .
