Imphal, December 30 2025: The Public Health Engineering Department has notified that there will be irregular water supply to the public in areas covered by Porompat Water Treatment Plant as the raw water level in Iril River has gone down below pumping level.

As per a notification, the affected areas include Sanjenthong Office Quarters, JNIMS Hospital, New Checkon, Nongmeibung, Soibam Leikai, Aynagpalli Road, Khurai Kongpal, TV Tower area, Wangkhei Khunou, Rahmania, Top Khongnang Makhong and Thambalkhong etc.

Additionally, a separate notification has informed of continued irregular water supply in areas covered under Canchipur WTP due to low river water level.

Normal water supply in these areas will resume when raw water is available in abundance and normal intake operation is restored.
