As the IMC and labour department ignored the demands, a written complaint was submitted to Imphal West district sub-divisional officer, Lamphelpat on October 25, 2023.While stating that it is the right of every Worker to query hidden agenda, if any, of the authority for its silence on the complaint for the last seven months, she stressed the need to explain failure for implementing the Act.
The rights and social security of sanitary workers working in Imphal Municipal Council are being violated, the Sangh president said, while questioning why the labour department act only when IMC defies order of the department to include ESIC.
