Ashok Kumar reviews security setup in Thoubal

Thoubal, December 21 2024: Commissioner (Home) Ashok Kumar conducted his first visit to Thoubal district on Saturday, where he reviewed the law and order situation as well as the security arrangements in place.

During a review meeting held at DC Thoubal conference hall, Thoubal deputy commissioner and Thoubal SP Rakesh Balwan briefed the commissioner (home) on state of affairs of the law and order in the district.

The commissioner (home) also directed the central security forces and state police to assume a more proactive role in improving law and order in the district.

The meeting was also attended by top officers of state police, Assam Rifles, BSF, CRPF and other officials concerned.

Later, the commissioner (home) also visited the relief centre opened at Rice Research Station, Khangabok and interacted with the internally displaced persons staying at the centre.

During the visit, he also inspected the Tailoring Skills and Marketing Project implemented in the centre by district administration, Thoubal and BOHO, Manipur under the sponsorship of Lalbahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
