Imphal, July 19 2025:
CubeTen Technologies Pvt Ltd managing director Haobam Joyremba represented India at the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit held at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, Austria, marking a proud moment for Manipur and the Northeast region.
Delegates from more than 100 countries attended the summit, which focused on digital sovereignty, ethical AI, and empowering the Global South through artificial intelligence.
Joyremba played a key role as a member of the summit's speaker selection committee, participating in over eight rounds of evaluations to shortlist more than 160 global speaker applications.
In his address, Joyremba highlighted the challenges faced by smaller and conflict-prone regions like Manipur in adopting AI technologies.
He pointed to limited computing infrastructure, poor data systems, recurring conflict-related disruptions, and a shortage of skilled professionals in AI and data science.
He urged for inclusive investment, stronger global collaboration, and policy support to bridge the digital divide.
"It was an honour to represent not just Manipur, but also the aspirations of many regions that are rich in potential but often left out of global tech discussions," he said.
Joyremba also presented a case for raising regional voices in global technology governance, a cause he continues to advocate.
Under his leadership, CubeTen Technologies has led projects in e-governance, digital infrastructure, AI adoption, and youth skill development across the Northeast.
