NAAC assessment prog held at MTU

Imphal, April 19 2025:
A one-day orientation programme on NAAC Assessment and Accreditation was held at Manipur Technical University (MTU), Takyelpat on Thursday, with the aim of sensitising faculty members and non-teaching staff on the significance of NAAC assessment and the processes involved.
DM University vice-chancellor Prof W Chandbabu Singh attended the programme as chief guest and delivered a talk on "An overview of NAAC assessment from the perspective of NAAC Peer Team" .
The event also featured DM College of Teacher Education principal Prof Wahengbam Jyotrimoy, and G College assistant professor Thiyam Rockin Singh, as resource persons.
Prof Jyotrimoy made a detailed presentation on "An overview of binary system in NAAC Assessment", while Thiyam Rockin spoke on "Quality assessment and accreditation process in Higher Educational Institutions" and "Self Study Report (SSR) preparation" .
MTU registrar Ramananda Nongmeikapam, in a statement, expressed his gratitude to the resource persons for sharing their valuable insights and engaging in meaningful interaction with the university's faculty members.
The programme proved to be a platform to enhance understanding of quality benchmarks in higher education, the statement added.
