While refuting the claim that Thoubal CD Block Khangabok Part-III Gram Panchayat SO, GRS, Panchayat secretary, pradhan and pradhan nominee misled teams of state vigilance and anti-corruption cell, Khangabok Part-III pradhan nominee Moirangthem Manglemjao said that some individuals unaware about the rules and Acts of Panchayat are trying to project the GP and its officials in poor light.
Speaking to media persons at BNRGSK Shanglen, Khangabok Part-III on Sunday, Manglemjao recounted that the vigilance team that came to Khangabok Part-III on March 17 inspected the actual work site of the GP and was not misled by taking them to a different site as had been claimed.
However, there was an incident where some people, who seemed to have been hired by certain individuals, hindered the officials who came for field visit for the enquiry.
He informed that the site of waiting shed which was meant to be constructed at Bamon Leirak under GP ward number 6 has been shifted to a place in ward no.1 according to the desire of the people and has been handed over to the people.
The resolution of shifting the site of waiting shed was taken on April 4, 2022 in a GP sitting.
As such, the vigilance team was not misled in any manner, he clarified.
Manglemjao further maintained that AAP-224 construction of public pond at Makha field is also done at the spot as decided earlier.
All the works taken up by the panchayat are done under strict supervision of SO, GRS, Panchayat secretary and officials concerned and funds were released on completion of the verification process.
Some people, who did not know rules and Acts of Panchayat, are hindering the development process, the pradhan nominee alleged and urged all concerned not to hinder the developmental works and try to mislead the people.
While exhorting authorities concerned to look into the matter and take up appropriate actions, Manglemjao also appealed to the people not to believe in such false propaganda.
He further clarified that there are no two Panchayat ghars in Khangabok Part-III but only one located at Khangbok Part-III Makha Leikai PYC ground.
