'Thougal Thanghai' workshop concludes

Imphal, August 16 2026: The 20-day workshop cum production on "Thougal Thanghai" organised by Meetei Indigenous Thang-Ta & Cultural Institute, MITTACI, under CMAT, Directorate of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur concluded Friday at MITTACI Sanglen, Kongba Kshetri Leikai.

K Shanathoiba Sharma, Director, Huyen Lallong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association attended as chief guest.

MITTACI Director Kh Surchandra Meitei presided.

Joint Director, Directorate of Art & Culture G Dharmadas Sharma and retired Headmaster Ksh Sanahal Singh were guests of honour.

Speaking at the function, G Dharmadas Sharma urged artists to utilise CMAT grants properly and produce quality cultural works.

He appreciated MITTACI for its active role and stressed that artists should be multi-talented and strive to excel in different art forms.

The production "Thougal Thanghai" and cultural performances by MITTACI artistes were presented.
