CRPF concludes fortnight-long civic action drive

Kangpokpi, January 15 2026: In a powerful reaffirmation of its commitment to community welfare and people-centric policing, the 94 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Thursday concluded its fortnight-long Civic Action Programme with a grand closing event at Gamgiphai village in Kangpokpi district.

The concluding programme, organized by the F and G Companies of the battalion, marked the culmination of a two-week "journey of togetherness" that reached multiple villages across the district, strengthening bonds between the security forces and the local populace.

The event was graced by Rajesh Kumar, DIG (Operations), Range Kangpokpi, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Vinod Kumar, Commandant, 94 Battalion CRPF, along with senior officers and personnel of the unit.

As part of the civic outreach, a wide range of essential and development-oriented items were distributed among residents of Gamgiphai and neighbouring villages.

These included solar street lights, individual solar lamps; sewing machines, garbage bins, and sports kits.

The initiative aimed at improving basic infrastructure, promoting cleanliness; empowering women through livelihood support, and encouraging youth engagement in sports and physical fitness.

The Civic Action Programme series commenced two weeks ago at Saparmeina under the initiative of the A and C Companies and subsequently covered.

Khenjang, Darndei and Kangpokpi, before culminating in Thursday's large-scale event at Gamgiphai.

Addressing a gathering of hundreds of villagers, Commandant Vinod Kumar extended warm New Yeargreetings and underlined that the core objective of the programme was to further strengthen the "unbreakable bond" between the CRPF and the local community, He emphasized that mutual trust, cooperation and shared responsibility are essential for lasting peace and development in the region.
