DLOs' meeting reviews Republic Day celebration plan

In view of the upcoming 76th Republic Day celebration 2025 and other programmes including the planned visit of minister of state for minority affairs George Kurian, Meeyamgi Numit, PM JANMAN Conference and observance of National Road Safety Month, additional district magistrate (ADM), Senapati, Rang David Kung chaired a District Level Officers (DLOs) meeting at.
the DC's Conference Hall, here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the topics along with work allocations to be taken up by respective DLQs for the 76th Republic Day celebration.
For successful celebration of the function, a cleanliness drive will be carried on January 20.The ADM urged the DLOs for active participation and cooperation in making Republic Day celebration a grand success.
The meeting also deliberated on visit of union MoS George Kurian scheduled for January 22 and 23, to review status reports of schemes/projects implemented by various departments in the district.
The DLOs concerned were further advised to submit their reports both in soft and hard copies by Thursday.
The ADM also chaired a meeting on district Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit, stated that it will be held on every third Friday of the month.
However, if third Friday of a month happens to be general or public holiday, then the event will be held on the third Thursday.
He stated that for the month of January, it will be organised on the January 17 at the multipurpose hall of the Mini Secretariat.
He further appealed to the SP, DFP, CMO, CEO of ADC, SDOs/SDCs and DLOs to attend the event without fail for settling and disposing the grievances at the spot: Later, the meeting discussed observance of National Road Safety Month, 2025 during which Senapati SDC Panii Ngaonii highlighted various event/activities such as district level quiz competition, special public awareness campaign cum information about "Hit and Run Motor Accident Compensation Scheme", special enforcement on road safety rules implementation, emergency response drills regarding road accident, distribution of pamphlet, sticker and banners and road repair and identification of accident-prone areas within town and highway areas will be conducted to encourage the denizens follow road safety rules.
He also urged the DLOs concerned to participate in the observance.
