Social service conducted at BT Park ahead of Patriots' Day

Imphal, August 09 2026: Ahead of Athoubasingi Numit (Patriots ' Day), members of Anouba Maiyol Khongchat (AMAKHAK), Sagolband Tera Amudon Akham Leirak, conducted a social service and cleanliness drive inside BT Park, Imphal this morning.

Despite heavy rainfall, volunteers of the organisation actively participated in cleaning the park premises.

Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the drive, AMAKHAK vice-president Hidamgmayum Bigyananda Sharma said that as a mark of respect and tribute to the forefathers who knowingly sacrificed their lives fighting against the British to protect Manipur's independence, they have been cleaning the park every year before Patriots' Day.

He further stated that the organisation will firmly stand against any element that threatens the unity and integrity of Manipur.

He added that AMAKHAK is a humanitarian organisation that works without any discrimination.
