Skill development training concludes

The three-week skill development training programme organised by Kangpokpi district administration in collaboration with Mustard Seed Foundation (MSF), Kangpokpi concluded at Kanggui Christian College on Tuesday.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Kangpokpi deputy commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari along with district level officials.
Speaking at the event, Mahesh Choudhary expressed his appreciation and congratulated the trainees, staff, and teachers for their participation and contribution in making the programme a grand success.
He acknowledged the sacrifice of their valuable time and commended their dedication towards learning new skills.
The commissioner also praised the partnership between the district administration and MSF, stating that it serves as a great example of a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model where all three sectors - public, government, and private - work together.
He emphasised that the government alone cannot do everything and encouraged active involvement from civil society and private sectors.
The DC also expressed delight that most of the electrical installations in the office chamber were carried out by the trainees, proving their practical success.
He assured that from the administration's side, they will assist in marketing the final products from the baking and food processing trainer.
He also requested MSF to help them in the industry sector by collaborating with the District Industry Office, where a FSSAI number is required to sell products.
As chairman of the District Coordination Committee for bankers, the DC promised to advocate for assistance to successful training candidates and requested MSF to link up with banks for a speedy loan process under government schemes.
The training programme covering electrical installation & maintenance, baking, food processing and mushroom cultivation had an overwhelming participation of 160 youths.
The deputy commissioner handed out certificates to the trainees.
It may be mentioned that the district administration has been conducting training programmes for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in various fields including tailoring and hospitality, and coach education programme among others.
These programmes have proved to be successful as many candidates who underwent training are now employed in both government and private sectors, showcasing the positive impact of such initiatives.
